Tapping the signals is relatively easy. The audio can be picked off of C45, and the video at C44.  This picture shows the location of those capacitors on the topside of the logic board.  If you're looking down at the board, with the keyboard ribbon cable in the lower-right corner, these capacitors are found towards the upper-left corner.

As always, we use shielded coax cable to carry the signals over to the video-amp board, to minimize any interference.  Solder the center conductor to C44, and the braid to the nearby ground.  Again, the choice of cable isn't particularly critical, as long as it has a proper shield braid; just do what I do and scrounge something from the "everything's-a-dollar" store.

Solder the audio cable's center conductor to C45, and the braid to the nearby ground.  Then cover the whole connection with heat-shrink to keep the exposed braid from shorting against any other nearby pads.  This, too, is scrounged dollar-store cable, this time from a cheap PC microphone.  Whatever you do, save the rest of the unused audio and video cable; you never know when it might come in handy for future projects!
